The 2024 Moscow International Automobile Parts and After-Sales Service Exhibition was successfully held. The exhibition attracted 1,928 exhibitors from 21 countries, 58,356 visitors, and an exhibition area exceeding 60,000 square meters. Approximately 1,100 Chinese companies participated, not only becoming the largest group and a highlight of the exhibition, but also achieving great success. Most exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the exhibition results and the quality of buyers, indicating a high intention to renew for the next exhibition.

The growth rate of Sino-Russian trade ranks first among China's major trading partners, and China continues to maintain its position as Russia's largest trading partner. According to data from China's General Administration of Customs, Sino-Russian trade reached a record US$240.11 billion in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 26.3%, exceeding the previously set target of US$200 billion for 2024. In the first seven months of 2024, bilateral trade reached US$136.67 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%. The overall bilateral trade volume has maintained steady growth, indicating that there is a stable driving force behind the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

In the first eight months of 2024, Russian individuals imported 6,242 vehicles through Chinese channels, a staggering fivefold increase compared to the same period last year. This undoubtedly demonstrates the strong momentum of Sino-Russian trade cooperation in the automotive sector.

In terms of imported brands, Chinese auto brands such as Changan, Chery, and Geely continue to dominate. In August 2024, the total amount of tariffs on imported vehicles exceeded 3 billion rubles, demonstrating the depth and breadth of cooperation between China and Russia in the automotive trade sector.

With the in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Russia, government policy support and the deepening of economic and trade cooperation will lead to continued growth in trade volume between the two countries. The continuous advancement of cooperation projects in various fields provides a solid foundation for bilateral trade.
